Taking Care of Fitness is a not-for-profit community gym in Tooting Bec, created to make strength training, movement and wellbeing genuinely accessible to everyone.
We believe fitness should feel welcoming, supportive and empowering. Our aim is simple: to help people move better, feel stronger and build confidence in a space where they feel they belong.

Community gym, built differently
​TC Fitness operates on a Robin Hood model. That means paid memberships help fund free and subsidised fitness sessions for people who may otherwise struggle to access them, including older adults, disabled people, carers, unwaged individuals and those living with long-term health conditions.​By choosing to train with us, you’re not just investing in your own health — you’re helping to support access to fitness across the wider community.
Expert coaching, without the exclusivity​
We’ve brought together an exceptional coaching team with experience from high-end private studios and elite training environments. What unites them is a shared belief that great coaching should never be reserved for a select few.Our sessions include small-group strength training, Pilates, conditioning and recovery-focused wellness, all delivered with clear coaching, thoughtful programming and plenty of encouragement. Everything is scalable and inclusive, whether you’re brand new to training or more experienced.


More than just a gym​
Our space has been designed to feel calm, open and inviting. Alongside our main strength training gym, we have a dedicated studio for Pilates and small-group classes, a welcoming café and social space, and a wellness hub featuring sauna and cold plunge facilities.
